BLUE FLASH MARCH 2022

New CLA and Charter for Cashiers and Customer Coaches:

A proposal for a CLA is currently on the table to simplify the working hours in retail branches for cashiers and customer coaches. The proposal is to abolish the late opening on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings and the related bonuses (40%).

In concrete terms, these employees would move from flexible to fixed working hours.

In parallel to this CLA, new charters for these functions were drawn up by management and submitted to the unions.

The charters are documents that can change according to the needs on the ground. Without waiting for the unions' response and subject to the unions' signature of these documents, management has planned to communicate already to the employees concerned.

If you have any comments or questions, please do not hesitate to contact the ACLVB-CGSLB delegation.

Implementation of the March 2021 collective labour agreement Medexel

During the negotiations of the CLA of March 2021 the bank committed itself to improving the current Medexel offer.

We now learn that this will not happen before 01 January 2023 and that it will be subject to new negotiations starting at the end of this year.

We wonder if the unions that are signatories to the CLA have also understood this? So what has been agreed in 2021?

Furthermore, as we pointed out last year, the revision of the offer, i.e. its improvement, will inevitably lead to a revision of the contributions.

For the CGSLB, it is already clear that this will be used as a bargaining chip in the new negotiations on the expiring cafeteria plan. What you get, you pay for twice...

To be continued....

Increase in unlimited fuel card limits

You've also noticed that petrol prices have gone through the roof. We noticed that people with unlimited fuel cards often reached the weekly limit and could no longer fill up with their card.

After ACLVB-CGSLB intervened, we were promised that ING would soon raise the limits to €180 per day and €325 per week.

The bank is also pushing for a greener car fleet. A project that we support.

For years, the CGSLB has been fighting for a revision of the budgets for this category of vehicles.

A slight increase in the discount for plug-in hybrids and a reduction in the mileage are still insufficient measures for us. Especially since the car budgets in force since 2007 have never been revised!

Global Job Architecture - External call

On 21 March, the bank responded to all those who lodged an appeal against their new job grade. Almost 500 appeals were lodged, of which 263 were rejected.

An appeal can be lodged up to 30 days after the notification of rejection.

The appeal is no longer handled by ING, but is referred to external experts who will give a final opinion.

Then (if necessary) a consensus will have to be reached with ING.

Business Banking - a new organisational structure

The announcement made at the works council meeting on 17 March is now known to all.

Together with the United Front, we are collecting reactions from the staff members concerned.

It is clear from the responses we are receiving that this umpteenth restructuring is hardly acceptable. Restructuring after restructuring, the staff is really fed up!

Many have already decided to go elsewhere... We fear that this plan will not reverse this trend...

All your reactions on this subject are always welcome. A joint opinion with our United Front friends is in preparation.

Wage indexation in March

Good news: in March, the salaries of the Joint Committee (CP) 310 will be indexed by 2.35%.

We wish you a nice holiday and a happy Easter !
