ACLVB/CGSLB

The Liberal Trade Union is one of the three representative trade union organisations in Belgium

The Liberal Union is a union where every person is central and where the local approach is paramount. Our values: freedom, solidarity, responsibility and tolerance are the four pillars of our social liberalism

As a Liberal Union we do not dictate choices, but give ideas and solutions to members, activists and representatives. We do all this politically independently.

The Committees for Prevention and Protection at Work (CPBW) is a joint body that must be set up in companies with more than 50 employees.

The CPBW's mission is to devise and propose means and to actively contribute to everything that is undertaken to promote the well-being of employees .

The social consultation bodies

The Works Council is a joint body that exists in companies of a certain size (at least 100 employees).

Its purpose is, on the one hand, to encourage consultation and cooperation on social issues and, on the other hand, to respond to the desire of employee organisations to be informed about the economic situation of the company and to be more involved in employers' decisions.

It is generally stated that the powers of the Trade Union Delegation include:

1. the industrial relations;

2. negotiations with a view to concluding collective labour agreements or agreements within the undertaking, without prejudice to collective agreements or agreements concluded in other areas;

....

Rights and obligations of the employer and the employees

The Step Up Performance Management (SUPM) process consists of three formal moments at which employees and managers must set goals and evaluate performance: goal setting, mid-term review, and final review.

Banks (PC 310) - Attractiveness Plan 2023-2024

The search for talent has been causing the sector a lot of headaches for a while now. How do you become and remain attractive as a sector? And, at least as important: how do you retain your employees?

The banking sector, like many other sectors, has a hard time attracting new talent and retaining good employees in workable jobs. Moreover, the sector has an enormous social and economic role. Banks invest money to make dreams of people or companies come true. As a social partner, we want to help attract and retain talent.

That is why we, as trade unions, developed our attractiveness plan for the sector, based on a survey we conducted among your employees.

Become a member

When everything is going well in your company, you may not notice many of the benefits of a union. Our job is to negotiate on behalf of our members with the employer about collective labor conditions, such as your wages, working hours, working conditions, rights and obligations, …

And that of course only happens when there is dissatisfaction. We will also watch over the rights of our members in the event of dismissals, closures or reorganizations.

A union like ours can also bring you many personal benefits.
