Information
The Liberal Trade Union publishes a handy reference work on social law. As a member, you can consult this Weetwijzer free of charge at www.weetwijzer.be.
You will also receive our members' magazine Vrijuit, an invaluable source of information on current socio-economic issues. Enlightening and in clear language. This magazine also keeps you informed of all the great benefits you can get thanks to your membership.
Finally, the Liberal Trade Union is also a recognised consumer organisation and we are happy to serve your interests in that respect. In that respect, the ACLVB is part of the Research and Information Centre for Consumer Organisations (OIVO). Because every euro counts!
Lifelong learning thanks to the ACLVB
If you work and are a member of the Liberal Trade Union, you can follow free training courses at Comé, the ACLVB training service. We regularly organise zonal information evenings for all our members.
Comé stands for 'Competent in Engagement'. It strengthens and connects employees in their commitment, which is based on freedom, responsibility, solidarity and tolerance. Take a look at www.comé.be and discover the full overview of courses.
Depending on the type of training, you can follow training under the system of Flemish training leave, paid educational leave, union leave and/or in your free time.
In addition, there are also training courses for low-skilled workers and risk groups by vzw Keerpunt.
Economic, social and fiscal research department
The ACLVB has a research department with lawyers and economists whose task is to study the issues related to labour law, taxation, social security and economic policy.
Legal assistance
The ACLVB stands up for justice. Members who are involved in a dispute can count on expert legal assistance. After 1 year of membership, this legal assistance is free for our members. Our Legal Department will deal with all your problems regarding social security and any labour dispute. If an amicable settlement is not possible, we will defend our members before the Labour Courts.
