As a trade union organisation, the ACLVB brings together all the knowledge needed to optimally support employees under one roof. Our expertise in the field of social law, labour market policy and occupational psychology enables us to provide guidance and advice on all career-related questions.
A trade union ensures that an employer is not the only one who has 'power' on the work floor. A trade union stands up for the rights of employees. If you want a trade union to stand up for your rights, you must become a member of that trade union. One of the things a trade union does is provide legal assistance.
Trade unions offer their members legal assistance if they have problems at work. For example, in the event of dismissal, labour disputes or discrimination. If you are in such a situation, the trade union can advise you on your rights and obligations and take legal action on your behalf.
An important task of a trade union is to draw up and negotiate collective labour agreements (CAOs) to represent the interests of employees. Unions offer support to their members regarding questions and advice on career development, unemployment, financial planning, and more.
